“The April (Late) Sale is always extremely popular with vendors and such was the demand for entries again this year, we had to cap the sale at 540 lots, which allows for over nine hours of selling,’’ Inglis Digital Business Manager Nick Melmeth said.

“It is a very interesting catalogue, with plenty of intriguing opportunities amongst the fillies and broodmares in particular, so I encourage investors to do their due diligence and work through the catalogue to discover exactly what’s in it for them.

“There are nine mares in foal to Tassort in the catalogue, as well as mares in foal to the likes of Alabama Express and Pierata, who are going to be hugely popular with breeders in 2024, so these mares represent an opportunity to be a step ahead of the market.’’

The final countdown of bidding for the April (Late) Sale begins at 10am Wednesday.

Meanwhile proven broodmare Rose Of Mulan – offered by Yarraman Park in the March (Late) Online Sale – has since sold to Brae Sokolski for $250,000.

The mare was offered in foal to Hellbent.

“I’m a big fan of Hellbent, we’ve had success as recently as a few weeks ago when Hell Hath No Fury won the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes for us and I just think he’s a very good stallion with a very good future,’’ Sokolski said.

“Rose Of Mulan is a wonderful mare, she’s already produced the likes of Shades of Rose and Scallopini and for a relatively young mare I think there is a lot of upside with her.’’
