Classy Supplementaries for Easter Broodmare

14th Apr 2008

Group 1 placed multiple stakes winner AIN’T SEEN NOTHIN’ is among three classy additions to the William Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale next month.

The daughter of Nothin’ Leica Dane will be offered by Kulani Park as part of Paul Makin’s Paulyn Investments Unreserved Reduction Sale.

She is believed to be in foal to Starcraft and has already produced a filly by that stallion and another by Charge Forward.

Kulani will also offer the well-related Kilimanjaro mare NOBODY LISTENS as an addition to the Paulyn reduction, which includes outstanding mares like Group 1 winner Belle Bizarre and the beautifully-bred stakes winner Personify (Galileo-Procrastinate), a $1.025million purchase for Makin last year.

The other supplementary entry MOUNTCAT, a beautifully-bred daughter of Mountain Cat (by Storm Cat) from the outstanding producer For The Flag (10 winners, including 3 SW), is in foal to Dansili and will be offered with the quarantine mares at the end of Day 1 on Sunday May 4.

The Group 2 win by Trick Of Light in Adelaide on Saturday further underlined the value of a number of Easter Broodmares in foal to her Juddmonte sire Dansili. They are former New Zealand Group 1 winner HAPPYANUNOIT, who went on to fame as a three-time Grade 1 winner in North America and the Group Three winning Bluebird mare DELILAH (Ire), which means the subsequent foal will be a three-quarter relation to Emina (Danehill), a $400,000 earner in Japan.

A son of Danehill, Dansili was Champion Sire of France in 2006 and he stood at a fee of £75,000 this year.

The Australian Easter Broodmare Sale begins on Sunday May 4 and runs through Monday May 5 and Tuesday May 6 at Newmarket, Sydney.

The highlight of the sale will be the 54 lot star-studded Swettenham Stud unreserved Dispersal Sale, which boasts countless stakes winning and stakes producing mares.
