THE CHAIRMAN'S SALE: French Fern

Group 2-winning filly French Fern is the first Wildcard entry accepted into the inaugural The Chairman’s Sale Session II (Elite Breeding Prospects).

The former David Payne-trained daughter of Lope de Vega and La Famelia won the 2016 Reisling Stakes on her way to the Golden Slipper.

“She’s a well-conformed filly, very athletic and proved herself a fantastic 2YO,’’ Payne said.

“She’s from a very strong family and I expect she will make a great broodmare.’’

The Chairman’s Sale Session I – Elite Racing Prospects – will be held on Thursday night, March 30 from 5pm, just prior to Day 1 of The Championships.

The Chairman’s Sale Session II – Elite Breeding Prospects – will take place on Friday night, April 7 from 6pm, the night after the conclusion of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
