Patinack Filly Dominant in Nursery

Nathan Tinkler’s Patinack Farm celebrated another feature race victory when impressive filly Pane In The Glass scored a dominant win in this afternoon’s $250,000 Inglis Nursery (1000m) at Randwick.

PANE IN THE GLASS ($32,000 2010 Classic, 2f Testa Rossa-Lyrics) had won on debut at Eagle Farm and the John Thompson trained filly proved even more effective when making her Sydney debut this afternoon.

In unwinding a powerful finish for Brisbane based jockey Jim Byrne, Pane In The Glass strolled away to beat Jackpot Queen ($47,000) and Pure Force ($60,000) in a Classic Sale trifecta.

She makes it consecutive Inglis Nurseries for Classic graduates, following fairytale filly Chance Bye last year.

Pane In The Glass was offered for sale by Scone based Sledmere Stud, who will offer a half-sister by first season sire Excellent Art at January’s 2011 Classic Sale.

Buyers will note the exceptional record first season sires have through the Classic Sale, with glaring examples including the Group 1 winners Pressday (Domesday) and Secret Admirer (Dubawi), along with Chance Bye (Snitzel).

Pane In The Glass is from the winning Bluebird mare Lyrics, who is a half-sister to the former exceptional sprinter and top New Zealand sire Gold Brose. She is the dam of seven named foals, all of which are winners.

Today’s impressive winner now has the opportunity to emulate Chance Bye and win next month’s $250,000 Inglis Classic, which is the next scheduled Inglis Race Series event for 2010 graduates, set down for January 22.
