Sydney Classic Winter Book Now Available

151 lots have been catalogued for the 2014 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale Winter Book, which can be viewed online at inglis.com.au and on the updated Inglis Sales iPad App

This year’s Classic Winter Book will be offered on Sunday 15 June at Newmarket in Sydney with a Select Session (Lots 1 to 124) and General Session (Lots 125 to 151).

Last year’s inaugural Winter Book has already unearthed two-year-old winners Vector Change, Forbidden Jewel, Unknown Destiny, Princess Command, Leica Comet and Dixie Lad – all purchased at an average purchase price less than $10,000.

Klammer (Snitzel x Morrego) topped the 2013 Winter Book selling for $100,000. The colt collected the $50,000 Inglis Race Series Bonus at Canberra this season before placing in three consecutive stakes races; Listed Canberra Black Opal, Group 2 ATC Pago Pago and Group 3 ATC Kindergarten Stakes.

“Classic Winter Book graduates are off to a great start and with plenty of later maturing types among the ranks we expect those results to grow in the coming seasons. We are pleased with the catalogue assembled this year and trust trainers, syndicators and pin hookers will find what they are after among the lots on offer,” said Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D’Arcy.

Proven sires represented in the 2014 Classic Winter Book include Snitzel, Sebring, Exceed And Excel, Encosta de Lago, Commands, Redoute’s Choice, High Chaparral, Not A Single Doubt, Bernardini, Mossman, Magic Albert, Artie Schiller, Al Maher, Charge Forward, Dane Shadow and Choisir.

There is also a host of first and second season sires with progeny catalogued such as Denman, Duporth, Medaglia d’Oro, All American, Manhattan Rain, Onemorenomore, Nicconi, Beneteau, Congrats, Hinchinbrook, Lookin At Lucky, Lope de Vega, Reward For Effort, Rothesay, Stryker and Tickets.

85% of the yearlings set to be offered at the 2014 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale Winter Book on 15 June are BOBS eligible and ALL yearlings offered are also eligible for entry into the $5 million Inglis Race Series – just as $50,000 Bonus winner Klammer was.
