What is the $2.6m Inglis Race Series?
It is a Race Series for yearlings offered for sale exclusively through Inglis Yearling Sales. The series is for two and three-year-olds offering a minimum of $2.6million in prizemoney run over 21 Bonus and Select races in Victoria, NSW and ACT.

The series for yearlings offered at 2011 Inglis Yearling Sales (current 2YOs from 1 August 2011) is run from October 2011 to May 2013.

The current series for yearlings offered in 2010 (current 3YOs from 1 August 2011) concludes in May 2012.

The Inglis Banner, Inglis Nursery, Inglis Trophy and Inglis Guineas are restricted races open to ALL nominated Inglis Sales Graduates. The Inglis Classic, Inglis Premier, Inglis Autumn Plate and Inglis Challenge are restricted races open to nominated Graduates offered through their specific sale. For example, the Inglis Classic is restricted to nominated horses offered for sale through the Sydney Classic Yearling Sale.

What is an Inglis Bonus Race?
On designated races within the series a $50,000 or $100,000 Bonus will be paid by Inglis to the winner should it be nominated to the Inglis Race Series. The Bonus is paid on top of first place prizemoney and applicable BOBS or Super VOBIS bonuses.

For example, an eligible horse wins a $100,000 Inglis Bonus at Caulfield on a Saturday meeting. The winning connections will receive $42,700 (first place prizemoney) plus the $100,000 Inglis Bonus, plus a Super VOBIS owners bonus of $23,000 (if eligible) = TOTAL $165,700.

What is the Inglis Trainer Bonus?
A $50,000 Bonus is awarded to the trainer with the most wins in each Inglis Race Series. This is the equivalent of a trainer’s prizemoney percentage for training nearly 12 Saturday metropolitan winners.

How do I nominate a yearling to the Inglis Race Series?
Simply tick YES for the Inglis Race Series on the acknowledgement of purchase slip when you buy the yearling. Entries close at the end of July in the year the yearling is sold.

If you forgot to nominate your 2011 yearling/s at the time of purchase, you can do so now by completing and returning a nomination form to Inglis by Friday 29 July 2011.

How much does nomination to the Inglis Race Series cost?
The nomination fee for horses offered for sale through the Sydney Classic, Melbourne Premier and Australian Easter Yearling Sales is $2,200 (inc GST).

The nomination fee for horses offered for sale through the Melbourne Autumn, Scone Yearling and Australian Bloodstock Sales is $1,100 (inc GST).
