Sale Overview
An unraced gelding by boom sire High Chaparral topped the 2011 Inglis Sydney Autumn Thoroughbred Sale, with online bidders again playing a huge role.
The sale enjoyed an excellent clearance rate of 93%, with $427,450 being traded on 125 horses sold.
Of the horses sold, 23% went to online bidders, with almost half the lots sold attracting an online bid, including the underbidder on the sale topper.
"These figures just go to show how important online bidding has become at these type of sales and it certainly helped us in achieving today's strong clearance rate," Inglis Bloodstock Director Jonathan D'Arcy said.
Vin Cox secured the sale's top priced lot at $60,000, the unraced three-year-old gelding Single, who is from the Group 3 winning Nashwan mare Myself.
Gold Tea, a winner at Randwick's Kensington track in January, was knocked down for $25,000 to Louise Dean. The daughter of No Excuse Needed is the winner of five races, with three of those coming since December.
Horses passed in at the Autumn Thoroughbred Sale will be made available for sale via the Inglis Make an Offer service.
